In Stephen Covey’s The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, he talks about how truly effective people have to have balance in both their personal and professional lives. One of the seven habits he recommends you adopt to achieve a healthy balance is Sharpening the Saw, meaning you need to preserve and attend to your most important asset – you. By making time for self-renewal, you will not only benefit yourself, but you will also be able to serve your clients and coworkers with a renewed excitement and vigor. But, Friends, it all starts with you.
